You guys crack me up. Been loling at people thinking we are going to get an amazing coach. WE ARE K-STATE. We had a very power house football program and only managed to get Prince. #1 ranking in 98, Big 12 champs in 03 and tons of 10 win seasons and when Snyder retired, we got Prince. Once Prince got fired, we got Snyder back, no top tier name out there, we got LUCKY and had Snyder wanting back in. Prayers answered as no top name is going to come to Manhattan to a football school to coach football. Now after basically a few successful years in basketball at a football school, we think we can pull a big name. LOL. We have to look outside of the box (Promote Martin for example, bring Hugs back from the dead...) and pray that it works. We got lucky twice, it wont happen again. Start forgetting any coach who is good and start planning/looking at people like Gottlieb. Keeps the excitement up, gets good recruit, and (if lucky) can coach the good recruits. cf, if the name is recognizable and they are coaching a successful D1 program, mark them off the list. Who does that leave us with? That’s the list we need to keep working.
