Buzz Williams is the only SLAM DUNK I see on that list. I put the likely hood of us getting him at about 5%.

Of the many candidates who will likely come forward for the Kansas State job, Oklahoma coach and KSU alum Lon Kruger doesn't look like he'll be one of them. Kruger shot down rumors on Tuesday in The Oklahoman.

Sooners assistant Steven Henson, however, openly expressed how much he'd like the job. "K-State is a dream job for me," Henson told the newspaper. "It's home. It's my alma mater. There are so many ties and connections. It's a great place, a great town, a great university. I'd love a shot at it for so many reasons."

This is what sucks. We just lost a Head Coach with huge credibility (developed at K-State) and have a chance to go get a great Coach due to the state of our program.

BUT in typical K-State fashion I think we'll make a Ron Prince hire. I hope they prove me wrong.

Confirmation Steve Henson has formally expressed interest to John Currie about HC opening. Lon Kruger is highly recommending him.

as long as it is a current D-1 head coach I'll be happy.  Do not want some crappy assistant because they played basketball at K-State 40 years ago.

With Buzz Williams $2 Mill, as big of a dream it would be to get him I think it would be nothing more than a pipe dream at this point. He honestly is the only coach out there that would be a Slam Dunk hire like So. Carolina got yesterday.
