Him on the bench was our best rotation tonight. Was not his night. Hopefully he's learned something.

lol there is no less than 15 threads on GOPO right now talking about his play.

He should have handed the ball the Samuels for the 3, and should have dumped it off the JO for the dunk. Selfish play tonight, especially when you aren't in the game mentally.

He really hurt us last night, but it wasn't just him. We have every opportunity to beat them, and couldn't capitalize.

Good news though! Face stomping and kicking is now allowed, Big XII officiating cleared it last night, and they even picked up their first sponsor; Thomas Robinson. So next time you see you friend give him a swift kick in the face, tell him its ok because the Big XII approved it. He'll understand, at least Frank Martin and Thomas Gipson did.

Frank is always hard on his point guards. I just remember the growth that Jake showed during his career and that's what will keep me patient with Angel.

I can't help but still like Angel with his runs he has provided.  Yes, he turns it over, but when he sits... our offense turns into nothing for 7-8 minutes at a TIME!  Multiple times a game!  When he is on the floor, we go on large runs.  If I had the option, I would play Jam Sam, Diaz, Irving, Grude, Angel when we are down and Jam Sam, JO, Sprads, Grude, Southwell when we are up.  If we are close.... doesn't matter, we wont be for long, so then turn back to lineups above for each situation.

Been waiting on your reply to this. Angel has been doing good, but last night he needed to SIT no matter what. Sprads needs to be on the floor at all times and Frank made that very clear when he sent him back into the game. NO ONE knows our offensive system and what Frank wants more than Will. Without big minutes from Will (which is why he gets them) This season would be a lot uglier than it has become.

I will agree to disagree :D
Did Angel need to sit, you bet, and this year and next year he will get the Frank guard treatment which anyone can admit, doesn't make them look pretty ever.  But it works in the end.  Unfortunately, we only got 75% of Pullen his junior year and got 110% (that's what Frank gets) his senior year.

Did Sprads need to play, no way.  He should have been watching form the bench for most of that as well.  Point is, we don't have a go to guard or one that can score AND run the offense.  We only have one or the other.  The way Sprads ended last year (same with McGrude, so not just Sprads deal), I thought we would see them shine this year.  Nope.. however, I do expect McGrude to be a Pullen next year and I do expect Sprads to be Pullen next year as well even as a Junior.

Flat out other than speed Angel has the ability to become as good, if not better than THE Denis Clemente, I say this for a reason. Look at numbers, Denis didn't have great numbers early on but, improved over time, he was very cocky in his early stage. Denis matured and so will Angel, he is't as fast but, he will get better. He needs to learn that when he goes inside with his size to pump fake or use his shoulder, to get the man off his feet or jump into them, and also learn the McGruder floater. The kid has swag and he needs to keep that, if he can get the smarts to go with said swag, he will be as good as Denis.

I believe his problem in the KU game is that, HE wanted to be the ONE who beat KU well it's a team sport so in turn became one of the reasons KSU lost. I have not given up on this team yet, we will either beat Mizzou or Baylor on the road (Mark that down). I think we have it in us, and I also believe we will win against aTm, OSU, and ISU. If we do this we will be seeded anywhere between the 7-10 area. On a good day KSU can beat anyone, and I don't see the NCAA passing them up if they get above or right at 20 wins for the fact that, KSU has that ability and can be a bracket buster!

Don't be so hard on Angel he is still a freshman, we are a young team and we are going to be awesome over the next few years, believe that' (obviously my WE is in reference to being a fan, I know I'm not on the team)

I agree this is evident in the Mizzou game a month ago.

I just hope AR learned a lot from Monday night. He WILL be good, and Frank has put him in a lot of tough situations for his age/experiance, this can only help us down the road (we hope).
