Ya, have to totally agree with the two posts above.  I couldn't find my post about it before the season, but I had a good idea that the team wouldn't surprise anyone (sure hasn't) and that it would be rough around the edges (more so probably then expected).  However, figured if we could get in the tourney with this squad, not only could be knock a couple games to end the year on a high note, next year will be legit if no one leaves.  My personal expectation was ONE win in the big dance, and I am sticking with that to have had a successful year.

I see us finishing with 22 wins with a loss to Missouri and one win in the Big 12 Tourney. This gets us in the dance and we come out and win 2 games.

I like your style.  After the Texas loss and KU loss, I couldn't see us getting 9 wins.  Since we already have 7, we can surely get 2/3 more plus at least 1 in the tourney.  Then I will jump on your bandwagon and go for 2 wins vs the 1 I have set my expectations on.

I know there is probably a haze of a great win going on right now, but this will all depend on which team shows up. After the last Mizzou win in MHK we all thought this team had it figured out. Like it's been pointed out many times we have the ability to beat any one, but unlike our Football team this year the basketball team is having a hard time finding a way to gut out the wins.

Here is the short and sweet of it, this TEAM GAME, comes down to 2 main things. One of our big's stepping up, and at least one of our smalls hitting the long ball. So many people have given up on this Mizzou game before it even starts. You all have to remember the KU game in the Phog, KU pulled away yet several times KSU went on a run and got the game within reach, before getting tired.

Frank Haith and his offense have a problem handling pressure D, and huge problems in a full court pressure D if at least one of the bigs is back to defend. There is a reason the Cat's won by such a large margin, they won because, of the defense. Mizzou is going to try and move the ball a lot faster than in did in Manhattan because that is what a Haith offense does. A Martin defense can handle that, KState likes an up tempo game, they love to cause turnovers... In Missouri if you turn the ball over, you are in trouble, as teams will score on them!

That being said, I think the home field advantage will cause KSU to miss some gimme's and Mizzou most likely win's this game by 4 or more. This being my take on the game this evening

You're welcome Iowa State. It looks like the team with the most to gain in Kansas City will be Texas.
