Bubble Watch

We're in our usual "Work Left To Do" spot on the 'ole Bubble Watch. Tonight's game as well as the February 11 game at Texas are HUGE for us. I wouldn't even be against getting another shot at Oklahoma in the Slightly Smaller Than XII tournament.

This was last Feb and March. We went 8-1.

Nebraska
@ Iowa St
@Colorado
Kansas
Oklahoma
@Nebraska
Missouri
@Texas
@Iowa St

This Feb and March
Texas AM
Tech
@Texas
Kansas
@Baylor
@Missouri
Iowa St
@Texas AM
Oklahoma St

I don't see another 8-1 span, and there are some extremely hard road games to come. Hopefully we can pull off some upsets and get ourselves on the last in list.

I was going to try to break this down and I'm glad you did it for me. It seems like since Frank has been here that we always go on a run in February. I'm just not sure if I see that happening this year but we'll see. We haven't been having these "down years" as often as we used to.

Several things are going to have to change and fast if we want to make the Tourney. We've got a pretty tough February stretch this year... Not saying it can't be though.

We've officially been put onto the bubble watch. Lots of work to be done. Sink or Swim in Manhattan, basically can't take any home losses, this includes KU.

Well I think we've officially removed ourselves from NCAA contention, hopefully the next few games won't hurt us getting a high seed in the NIT.

I agree with Lynch here. I'll add the we need to make the best of this season as we can. A number 1 seed, and a strong run in the NIT is a very real possibility if we can try to build on things down this final stretch. I.e. get mcgruder back to 100% and get away from big 12 officiating.

If we beat either BU or MU again and get our wins against aTm, ISU, and OSU we will be in the NCAA tourny. Kansas State is a bracket buster, it's going to be hard for the NCAA to over look the chance of close great games from this team, they can play against anyone when they don't get complacent! I think this is always exactly what the NCAA want's every year, 20+ wins we should be in

It could get ugly for a little while since our next two games are @Baylor and @Missouri but I kinda think that even if we lose those games and take care of business in the rest we should be ok. Maybe we'll need 1 win in the conference tournament.
