A Look at Arkansas
« on: December 04, 2011, 08:59:38 PM »

The Razorbacks went 10-2 (6-2 in the SEC) with wins over Texas A&M, Auburn and S. Carolina and losses at Alabama and at LSU. The Razorbacks returned 12 starters from a team that went 10-3 (6-2). The Razorbacks were projected to finish 3rd in the SEC West (the division that gave us both teams in this year's "national championship game").

QB Tyler Wilson completed 63% of his passes for 3,422 yards with 22 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in 2011. He also rushed for 4 TD's.

RB's Dennis Johnson and Ronnie Wingo Jr. rushed for 1,077 yards on 196 carries (5.5 yards/carry) with 6 touchdowns. Star RB Knile Davis missed the season with an ankle injury.

The Razorback's offensive line features returning players at center Travis Swanson and guard Alvin Bailey. Also on the line are OT's Jason Peacock and Grant Freeman and guard Grant Cook. It's an offensive line that averages 6'5" and 316 pounds per player.

WR's Jarius Wright and Joe Adams have combined for 1,659 yards (1,029 by Wright) on 112 catches (63 by Wright) with 14 touchdowns (11 by Wright).

Defensively, the Razorbacks are lead by DE Jake Bequette, LB Jerry Franklin and S Tramain Thomas. DT's Robert Thomas and Byran Jones headline a strong run stopping unit and really come after the QB.
