MANHATTAN, Kan. – FOX Sports Kansas City will broadcast 10 Kansas State men’s basketball games, including three key Big 12 matchups, during the 2011-12 season, the school and network announced today.

The regional sports network, which is available to more than 1.2 million homes in the state of Kansas and throughout the Kansas City area, will produce and distribute 10 games, which include pivotal Big 12 games with Baylor (Jan. 10, 7 p.m.), Oklahoma (Jan. 28, 6 p.m.) and Iowa State (Jan. 31, 8 p.m.). Many of these contests will also be available on the ESPN Full Court package, which will give Wildcat fans throughout the country the ability to watch all 30 games on at least one of the ESPN family of networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Full Court and ESPN3.com). The complete ESPN Full Court schedule will be released at a later date.

The television schedule opens on Sunday, Nov. 6 with the exhibition game against Fort Hays State at Bramlage Coliseum, which tips off at 1 p.m. CT. In addition, the Wildcats will play Charleston Southern at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, Loyola Chicago at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 14, Maryland-Eastern Shore at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, George Washington at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, North Florida at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11 and Howard at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, all on FOX Sports Kansas City.

The announcement once again gives the Wildcats a comprehensive television package with all 31 games being telecast. The team will have 12 nationally-televised games, including a combined six appearances on ESPN and ESPN2. K-State will also have nine regular-season games broadcast as a part of the Big 12 Network, which will be distributed to affiliates around the nation as well as on ESPN Full Court and ESPN3.com.

FOX Sports Kansas City is in its ninth year as a third-tier television rights holder for K-State Athletics. In addition to its men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and baseball coverage, the network has the Bill Snyder, Frank Martin and Deb Patterson television shows. Those weekly shows are also available nationwide on satellite and to digital cable subscribers who have access to FOX College Sports.

Ben Boyle (play-by-play) and Stan Weber (analyst) will continue to call all the action on the network.

FOX Sports Kansas City is the leading provider of local sports in Kansas and western Missouri, reaching more than 1.2 million cable and satellite television homes. FSKC serves as the television home of Kansas City Royals baseball, plus Big 12, Kansas State University, University of Missouri and Missouri Valley Conference athletics and much more. Nationally, FSN’s 19 owned-and-operated regional networks serve as the TV home to more than half of all MLB, NHL and NBA teams.

Bramlage Coliseum was sold out through season tickets for men’s basketball games last season. The K-State Ticket Office is currently accepting wait-list applications for fans interested in purchasing new season tickets for the 2011-12 season. The application is available online at www.kstatesports.com/tickets, or by calling the ticket office at (800) 221.CATS. Fans on the wait list will be contacted this fall, in athletic department priority point order, with an opportunity to purchase seats that become available after the season ticket renewal process.

K-State posted a 23-11 overall record in 2010-11, including a tie for third place in the Big 12 with a 10-6 mark, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four seasons. The school has advanced to the postseason in five straight seasons for the first time in school history. The Wildcats return seven lettermen, including five with starting experience, in 2011-12 to go with freshman Nino Williams and six newcomers.
