I have a question! Ok! More than one
« on: January 17, 2011, 07:01:41 PM »

What's wrong with this program? Is it Frank? Is he not what we thought he was? Is it these players? Are they not as good as the recruitment services say they are? Is it the assistants who are supposedly great recruiters? Why are we not allowed to just dominate people? There are certain programs that just go out and do that because it's who they are. Why can't we have one of those programs? Is it me? Is it God? What is it?

God I'm having a meltdown!

tell you the truth. i think Martin needs to get over his "Anger and intimidation" ways on the court. obviously it's not working out for the players and helping us win. that's just me though.

Its a young team trying to replace a good PG, and a couple good role players. They will be fine in the next couple weeks or it will be a lost season. This team has shown it can be very good, but it can be its own worst enemy. Freshman and sophmores taking on MU's pressure, enuff said. Its not Frank, this team is just Jeckyle and Hyde, you never know which is going to show. We can get a lil confidence back if we can get that win at aTm, but I'm not holding my breath. I feel aTm is playing the best ball in conference right now. I think they ran out of steam after pulling back to with in 3. Our 3's weren't falling, yet we again shot above 70% from the foul stripe. I guess you can take that as a positive. Our assists were down, but it may have been we were scared to pass it. The guys got frustrated at the end and it showed. We get them in our house, so we can pound them there.

With regard to Frank's style, there is no catch-all method of motivation that works  well with every individual.  Some respond positively to a swift kick in the @$!, others do not.  Just as some respond well to backrubs and warm showers and being told that they are a beautiful and unique snowflake, and others do not.

Personally, I like Frank, based on what I know of him.  But I think it's too early to pass judgement on him, one way or the other.

Its also a young coaching staff.  And it is starting to worry me that they don't know how to get these players (that they handpicked and recruited) to take the next step.
