Heard this awhile back.  I think it is a case of no open scholarships. Do the quick math and I think you'll see Martin is going to have to shuffle some kids around with or without Reed:

1.  Pullen and Kelly graduate (two scholarships available)
2.  Gipson, Diaz, and Angel are the incoming class (already one scholly over the limit)

Wild cards-

!.  Devon Peterson and Omari Lawrence stay as walkons.
2.  I don't think Freddy or Wally will be going pro this season as some suspected.
3.  Will one of the guards transfer for more playtime somewhere else?

Quote from: KC Star
Willie Reed is no longer seeking a transfer to Kansas State.

Reed, a 6-foot-9, 220-pound junior forward, tried to enroll in October after being suspended from the Saint Louis basketball team because of allegations of sexual assault made against him and a teammate by a fellow student. Reed is now attempting to rejoin the Billikens.

“He decided that he wanted to go back to SLU and has reapplied,” said Reed’s father, Will, “and is now waiting to hear back from them.”

Reed, who played at Bishop Miege, averaged 12.4 points and 7.9 rebounds as a sophomore.
