Take really good notes because i am unable to watch it. I have heard two things:
1)They are unveiling the new practice facility
2) Eric Stonestreet from Modern Family has a video message

Here is a letter from JC about the new practice facility and tonight's midnight madness
October 15, 2010
Good evening Wildcats!
The last 24 hours have certainly been a lot of fun! We appreciate those of you who made the trip to Lawrence last night for the football game. We had a great purple contingent at Memorial Stadium to help lead the Wildcats to a big Sunflower Showdown win over the Jayhawks.
Tonight was a big moment for our basketball programs as fans filled Bramlage Coliseum for Madness in Manhattan and the official start of the 2010-11 season. I appreciate the hard work and creativity of our staff in putting together an entertaining event that included activities with both teams, drop-ins into ESPNU’s nationally televised midnight madness program and a video feature from the cast of ABC’s Modern Family featuring our good friend, K-State alumnus and Emmy Award winner Eric Stonestreet.
There is tremendous excitement surrounding the start of basketball season for both our men’s and women’s programs, as evidenced by the great response we have had in season ticket sales. Another special part of Madness tonight was the unveiling of the plans for our new basketball training facility. Building this facility will impact our ability to be a leader in the new Big 12 Conference and is a strong statement that we are fully committed to the continued success of both basketball programs. Certainly with the highest graduation rate in the Big 12 and great APR scores, our coaches are doing the right things off the floor and we need to continue to provide them the tools to be successful on the court as well.
The Wildcats’ proposed facility will be approximately 50,000 square-feet, is designed by the world-renown architects at Populous and has a projected total cost of $20 million. Located on the east side of Bramlage Coliseum the state-of-the-art building will provide both the men’s and women’s basketball programs an all-inclusive and efficient training facility.
We have so much to be proud of here at Kansas State. When the lights and cameras come on at Bramlage Coliseum and you see a sold-out atmosphere with more than 4,000 screaming students sitting up close in the best seats in the arena, the nation gets a glimpse of the kind of magic we have here at K-State. And when you add the amenities of this basketball practice facility, dedicated weight room and athletic training room spaces, I truly believe we will have a total basketball facility scene that is second to none in all of college basketball.
As most of you know, the ultimate Kansas State advantage is the K-State family. The opportunity now is for the Wildcat family to continue to participate together in making this project a reality. Thanks to a number of leadership donors we currently have approximately $12 million pledged towards the project. We need to reach the $15 million mark prior to beginning construction and then continue to press forward to the final goal of $20 million to keep in line with our commitment to fiscal responsibility. So, we still need your support.
When I came to K-State, I found out that we had the best graduation rate in the Big 12 and that is what Kansas State is all about – it’s about being the best. The opportunity now is for the Wildcat family to be a part of the future of K-State basketball and continue to participate together in making this project a reality. Let’s take this step forward together and plant that purple Powercat flag as a statement that Kansas State will be a leader in intercollegiate athletics. Be sure to check k-statesports.com/trainingfacility for more details, photos and videos of the new training facility and how you can help make a difference for our student-athletes.
Two Final Football Home Games
Our crowds at Bill Snyder Family Stadium have been terrific so far this year – we are on track to have one of the top average attendance marks in school history and we hope you choose to be a part of it when we wrap up the home football schedule with Oklahoma State and Texas. Many alumni will be back in town for homecoming on October 30 against Oklahoma State and we still have great seats remaining for as little as $35. Be sure to check the Alumni Association’s website at
www.k-state.com
for more information on homecoming. And let’s send the 2010 senior class out with a full house on November 6 when Texas visits Manhattan.
Cats 4 Cans
Through our life skills program and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), our student-athletes are involved in many projects to serve the community. At the Texas football game, fans will have the opportunity to help our student-athletes and the Flint Hills Breadbasket by bringing canned goods, non-perishable food items or monetary donations for the 13th annual Cats 4 Cans drive. Student-athletes will be out collecting food in the parking lots and will be located at collection bins at designated gates prior to kickoff. Many of the Flint Hills Breadbasket programs rely heavily on community donations and volunteer support, and that support is especially crucial around the holiday season. Our student-athletes are asking fans to "Get Your Cans to the Game" on Saturday, November 6, to support those families in need!
The Week in Review/Looking Ahead
It’s been a busy week of competition as our rowing team kicked things off last Saturday with a strong performance in Oklahoma City followed by both of our golf teams continuing their fall schedules with tournaments in Akron, Ohio, and Tulsa, Okla., respectively. The volleyball team traveled to Iowa State on Wednesday and will return home to host Nebraska at 7 p.m., Saturday night. Also, our equestrian team debuted the new Timbercreek Stables earlier today against previously undefeated Baylor and came away with a big win. Wrapping up the week will be the cross country teams traveling to Indiana tomorrow for the Pre-National Invitational in preparation for the Big 12 Championships.
That’s it for now. Again, we appreciate all that you do for our student-athletes and programs in helping us remain a leader in the Big 12 Conference both academically and athletically. See you tomorrow night at Ahearn Field House for the 7 p.m. volleyball match with Nebraska and….. Go Cats!

I couple youtube videos from the evening:
I think I'm just as excited for the tunnel dances this upcoming season, as I am for basketball.
Modern Family on ABC is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
