A Look at Presbyterian
« on: November 17, 2010, 07:59:21 PM »

The Blue Hose are 0-1 with a loss at Vanderbilt. The Blue Hose return virtually their entire team from last season (a squad that posted a 5-26 overall record, including a 2-16 mark in Big South Conference play, in 2008-09). The Blue Hose are projected to finish 4th in the conference this season behind Coastal Carolina, Winthrop and UNC Asheville.

The Blue Hose are lead by C Al'Lonzo Coleman and G Josh Johnson. Coleman is averaging 17 points/game (leads the team), 6 rebounds/game (leads the team) and 2 assists/game (co leads the team with G Pierre Miller). Johnson is averaging 11 points/game and 2 rebounds/game.

I know a lot of you will laugh at this game, and I'll probably be one of them, but something to keep in mind about the Big South Conference is that UNC Asheville has a win at Auburn and Gardner-Webb has a win at Charlotte.

Well at least you can say their loss isn't a "bad" loss. Should be an experianced team so Bramelage may not be a big factor for them. Hopefully we can see the season debut of Curtis Kelly.

The biggest thing we need to watch for is if Kelly will play and how that will affect the playing time and rotations of the other players.  We have to have Kelly play this game so the team can used to his presence in a game setting.  This our last preparation game until the biggest couple games of our early year.  Potential #1 baby, yeah I said it!!
