Leader from Day One - Clent Stewart
« on: March 02, 2011, 07:05:12 PM »

After going to a K-State wedding this past weekend, a good friend of mine and got to talking K-State Basketball. After talking about how great we have been playing lately, we some how got on the discussion of some of former Wildcats over the last few years. Of course, everyone might think of Beasley, Walker, or C. Martin, but there is someone that we talked about that is bomb.com; Clent the Man Stewart. My friend blew my mind with the information he shared. We went back, talking about leadership, especially with leadership on the team being such a huge topic this season. Well, Mr. Stewart had to become a leader day one. After graduating from the powerhouse known as Union in Tulsa, Clent was told day one before practice began as a freshman at K-State that he would be the starting PG. Of course, as a freshman, you definitely wouldn't complain, but going into the season, Clent had never just played PG. To say the least, he had to step it up and he definitely did. From playing huge roles in games that will never be forgot such as our win against KU to USC in the dance his senior year, he made a difference. A winning K-State team is a team with Clent Stewart like leaders. Let's keep it going. Go State!
