20. Kansas State

Bruce Weber takes over for Frank Martin, who had the Wildcats set up for a continuous run near the top of the Big 12. Weber didn't forget how to coach at Illinois. He is one of the more respected teachers of the game. He just had a bad marriage with the Illini, and it couldn't be repaired. Rodney McGruder should stay and play for Weber since he'll be a senior. The core of this team returns to push the rest of the Big 12. Weber's first season should be a success.

This is good.  Not great, though I might have had higher expectations then I needed, which is 100% my fault.  I was hoping when the final rankings came out that we would be top 25.  The coaches poll has us at 31st (kind of a slap in the face imho).  Maybe AP gets us a bit higher.  With only one guy gone, I thought we had a good chance of being around 15th-18th.  Though being preranked is good enough.

Looking at Big 12 rankings I imagine we will be quite High if not a favorite. Robinson and Jones III have announced they are heading to the NBA next year and Mizzou is no longer in the conference. Things look to be aligning in favor of Weber having a strong Freshman year in Manhattan.

I mean, not only that but ISU will be down.  Literally each team infront of us.  If I am scared of one though, still Baylor.  JIII didn't play amazing at the end of the year and yet the remaining team did well.  Miller was a beast of late and he said he is coming back.  I can also see Texas getting back at the top, but no other change in the remaining teams.  Smart could jump OSU to the middle of the pack, but woldn't plan to see them 4th or better.
