One of the most in-depth previews (especially player analysis) I've seen on the interweb...
http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/insider/news/story?id=5713948And its way to long to post, but here's the summary:
BLUE RIBBON ANALYSIS
BACKCOURT: B+
BENCH/DEPTH: C+
FRONTCOURT: A
INTANGIBLES: A
Kansas State was an obviously flawed team last year, when the Wildcats made the Elite Eight without much offensive production from the frontcourt, and the Wildcats will be an obviously flawed team again this year unless they find a way to replace Denis Clemente's point-guarding without losing Jacob Pullen's scoring.
Don't bet against them.
The Wildcats will enter this season with perhaps the Big 12's biggest, best frontcourt. Two of the key forwards, Wally Judge and Freddy Asprilla, are unproven, but Curtis Kelly and Jamar Samuels can both score and both played in some huge games last year.
Perimeter scoring shouldn't be a problem either, with Pullen and Rodney McGruder, both excellent shooters and finishers, in the starting lineup, but point guard play will be the wildcard.
Expect the Wildcats to contend for the Big 12 title with Kansas and Baylor this season.
