My head still hurts.
I just have a doom and gloom feeling about the whole big 12 this year and hope our cats found something in themselves that was missing during the bye week.

Totally agree. Its so confusing its almost not even worth looking ahead. I thought we would learn something about our team playing Texas. However, the fact that we had two scoring drives erased due to non-snyder football mistakes, the game was a ton closer then the 10 point defeat looked. Fix those mistakes (which is a given) and I still consider us a dangerous team capable of taking any team down AT THIS POINT IN TIME except for Baylor. I say that because no one has proved anything yet but OU beating ND. However, its debatable if ND is worth a crap this year or not.
This week will completely define the conference, leaving only a few debatable matchups to remain. That's the good news. The bad news, win or lose this weekend for us and we will still have a couple ?? remaining and there is a chance we don't learn much about Tech this weekend. Quick breakdown below: Thursday Texas @ ISU game - Its a Thursday battle and it will be ROCKING. If Texas wins, they are going to be a scary team throughout conference. It would be very safe to assume that the kinks have been worked out and they want a Big 12 trophy. Tech @ KU - Tech blow out; we know Tech will win games they shouldn't and KU will win nothing this year. Close game; we know KU has improved and Tech will finish bottom half as usual and KU might steal one game this year. KSU @ OSU - OSU blow out; we know KSU will finish bottom half and OSU will forget the early loss and fight for the crown. Close OSU win; we know that neither will be fighting for crown but should have decent seasons (7sh-8sh wins respectively). KSU win; we know that KSU will fight for top 4 spots in conference and OSU will struggle. TCU @ OU - OU blow out; dang, OU is for real and TCU will be just like last year. OU close win; OU will still be great this year and TCU will be better then their 2 (err now 3) losses show but will just be fighting for top half of conference. TCU win and I give up on figuring out this league, aka Big 12 sucks this year. WVU @ Baylor - Baylor blow out; get scared, Baylor could run away with the Big 12 and not look back. Baylor close win; Baylor is still good and will chase for the crown but WVU is better then their losses show (good for them compared to last year). WVU win; LOLOL Baylor finishes top half but the hype was not warrented and WVU fights for top half of conference finish. |

K-State loses to NDSU
K-State loses to Texas Texas loses to BYU Texas loses to Ole Miss OSU loses to WVU WVU loses to OU WVU loses to Maryland We are not very good this year (compared to Snyder Era II teams). I had marked WVU as a win, just as I HAD marked Texas as a win. With no Big 12 team looking like a stud (maybe OU???) I don't know what to expect this season anymore. WVU might beat us, but we also MIGHT beat OSU. It's anyone's game this year. Let's hope we can score more points than the other guys. |

As in worse than West Virginia vs. Clemson in the 2012 Orange Bowl kind of crush. I'm expecting 70 Points scored against UMass and for them to have less than 20. I'll give the 2nd team defense some points in the 4th.

I think your last comment is worth a discussion of its own. Lets define "CRUSH". UMASS is just not good this year, matter of fact, they are horrible. I would be upset if they got over 10 points to be honest, but I am willing to say 12 to be safe. I also think we tally up 50+. Anything less, I will be upset as I don't plan on staying in the stadium for this full game. Without a home game in nearly a month, I will be tailgating to the extreme to hold me over.

I still think we lose against Iowa St. this year. but everything else looks about right...
SO I will do what I did last week. IF we lose this weekend this is how the rest of the season will go. vs NDSU - L vs La-La - W vs Mass - L @ Texas - W @ OSU - L vs Baylor - L vs WVU - W vs Iowa St. - L @ Tech - L vs TCU - L vs OU - L @ KU - W It would be tough seeing us win any games if we don't CRUSH Mass. |

vs NDSU - L
![]() vs La-La - W ![]() vs Mass - W @ Texas - W - Change ![]() @ OSU - L - Change ![]() vs Baylor - L - Change ![]() vs WVU - W vs Iowa St. - W @ Tech - L ![]() vs TCU - W vs OU - W - Change ![]() @ KU - W Updated predictions above based on this weeks games. I have us losing to Baylor and Tech handily. Both play a type of offense I think our D wont handle well (next year will be different). Tech has some issues right now, but will have it worked out in a few weeks and be ready for us at home. Baylor is steam rolling right now and we catch them to early to do any damage. However, I have OSU as a fence game. We could have more momentum by that game then OSU would want as we play to darn disciplined for their bunch and could steal a win. |

Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week
Tramaine Thompson, K-State, PR/KR, Sr, Jenks, Okla. Tramaine Thompson racked up 234 all-purpose yards in K-State’s 48-27 win over Southeastern Louisiana. He had 94 in kick returns, 94 in punt returns and 46 receiving. The senior returned the second-half kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown, giving K-State at least one kick return for a touchdown in each of the last nine seasons, a streak that currently leads the nation. Thompson then added a 79-yard punt return which set up another Wildcat touchdown. With the kickoff-return score, Thompson became the third player in school history to have rushing, receiving, punt return and kickoff return touchdowns during their careers (Mack Herron and Yamon Figurs). |

when he walked out and I saw the jacket, I was thinking....... "O no, we don't have many more years with him on our sideline if today is cold." To his defense, the field might have been 110+ degrees, but with the shade, easily dropped it a few degrees! |
