I actually think its a horrible article. He wrote nothing but his opinions and thinks they are more relevant then others. Best part... everyone knows that we don't know how this will turn out, so his thoughts means as little as mine. Another horrible article linked below is completely opposite of KC's. Shows that no one knows if this is good or bad. That's why everyone is so upset right now. If I knew in 5 years I would have a sucky team to cheer for, then I would just say f basketball and get pumped for fball. If I knew we had a coach that was going to have us in the F4 in 5 years, then I would be more excited then ever.

Facts that I know to date:
We had a coach that would keep us in the post season every year (a chance at something big).
We had a coach that the media loved that got us talked about a ton.
We had a coach that never won us anything big(talked about in another thread).
We lost a coach because our AD and him didn't get along and no attempt to retain was made.
We hired a coach who has won a crap load of games.
We hired a coach who has won big games (conf champs) and went deep in tourney.
We hired a coach who couldn't recruit to Illinois (is that a easier place then Manhattan?)
We hired a coach who peaked 7 years ago and has lost less and less games year after year.
We hired a coach who got fired by another D1 school.
We have a nice returning class next year.
We should win enough games to get us in tourney next year and then the unknown will be known the following year.
Another fact, I don't want to wait till 2014 to know if we will stay relevant.

O crap, I never summed up my thoughts. lol.
Yes, I am mad KC because we didn't hire a coach who is "hot".
Yes, I am mad because other candidates were not leaked and I don't know who to compare to.
Yes, I am mad because our Pres didn't find another AD to ensure we kept someone successful.
Yes, I am mad because I have to wait a year or so before I know if Weber is good or bad.
Yes, I am mad because the articles that say this was a great hire are ONLY saying its great for Weber, not K-State. Sure.. the guy is a nice guy and should deserve a coaching spot. But.. is our house the best place for a nice guy who can't win any longer?
The unknown makes me mad.
