I'm devastated beyond words. I cannot believe that this was allowed to happen. When I heard the news my fingers began to tingle and I felt like I was going to faint. If the AD is allowed to stay, which I can't believe he would be allowed to, he better not hit a homerun with this hire but he'd better hit a 5 run GRAND SLAM. I'm not sure I will EVER wear the colors of that school in the city in which I was born or if I will EVER set foot near that sports complex again unless the AD is GONE TOMORROW! I'm waiting until after the hire of a new coach but I will probably take down every piece of memorabilia that I own that has that school's colors and that school's name on it with the exception of my 2011-2012 schedule poster.

I can't believe Schultz has come forward with anything yet.

CF, while I don't think I can go as far as you, I can say that I am absolutely crushed by, and absurdly angry at the fact this was allowed to happen. Frank was everything EMAW, and EMAW was everything Frank. What he has meant to the University and fanbase cannot be summarized easily. It has become very apparent that Currie only cares about what his resume looks like, rather than the University.
That being said I want to see who the new hire will be. I agree that it must be an absolute Grand Slam of a hire. In my mind this equals Bill Self, or Bruce Pearl, and yes I'm being serious. If it is anything less, Currie should be fired, and his manhood removed.
Frank will always have my support for the fact that he always supported us. I wish him the best if luck at his new job.

Can I start a few posts of... "What Frank hasn't accomplished" to make myself feel better?
I can throw out a few items:
- Produce NBA talent (can't count Beasley or Walker, both Hugs)
- Recruit top 25 class
- Retain top 100 recruit or make them valuable to the team
- Win conference
- Win regular Big 12 schedule
- Final 4
- Win early season tourneys on a consistent basis
- Stay as a top 25 team
- Beat KU at home consistently
What he has accomplished:
- Earn bye each year for Big 12 tourney
- 4/5 years making NCAA tourney
- Elite Eight
- Get fans pumped up about basketball

I don't see ANY other coach that is available right now that can accomplish your list of haven't dones. I can trust Frank to accomplish the lower list consistently and keep K-State basketball improving and relevant while slowly marking off items from the upper list.

Not sure if I consider Martin available right now. Would hope we just don't look at anyone chilling at home and we go for a home run pick. 5 years is a long time. 5 years should not be at a point were someone slowly marks anything off a list, hopefully next year he would have been able to mark off a lot of the top list. Thats why I am mad. K-State is always a year away from something big before crap hits the fan. A home run find could mark everything off within 5 years, but I rather have Martin mark it all off in his 6th year then risk anyone else.

If/When something does happen, you hear conflicting reports, what can we do to protest? Just tell me and I'm IN!
