Been reading a number of reports indicating that the Big 12 is ready to accept Louisville into the conference as soon as WVU lawsuit is over which could be very very soon. I just don't know about the last slot. So much talk about BYU, and then that seemed to just evaporate. I would love them, but who do you guys think could realistically be the 12 member?
-
The BYU talk really did dissipate. Anyways Cincinnati would be my best guess, I really don't see the Big XII going after programs that aren't already in BCS conferences. I.E. raiding C-USA, MAC, WAC, or the MWC like the Big East did.

Looks like the way has been made for WVU to officially join the conference
-
BYU Talk is back in. Lousiville at this point is almost a lock to join and the 12th team is BYU if things can be worked out.
-
Has anybody heard the talk about the BigXII raiding the ACC. With WVU now in the fold, it lends the idea some credibility. FSU or Miami as the 12th team :herewego: and forget about BYU.
-
Could you imagine if we got either of those teams? I'd go see us play in FL.
-
Wow, haven't heard about FSU or Miami, but I could see FSU before I see Miami making the jump. My deal is... WHY ISN'T LOUSIVILLE in yet??????? I have a bad feeling that the 11th and 12th member talk wont ramp up until we get the new commis in and that isn't till end of June.

I'm going to completely discredit any opinion I've ever had, but I wouldn't mind seeing Colorado State in the Big XII, look at their enrollment numbers and endowment before you laugh too much though, could be some potential there. I just really want an excuse to play in Colorado again.
-
Enrollment and endowment is always extra topping on top of everything that actually rewards the conference by allowing a membership spot. I think its clear how much the fball revenue plays into conference contributions and CSU just wont do that. We also have seen the number that show a national brand like KU has in bball can contribute at a high level. CSU doesn't have that either. Unfortunately, what gets a name to pop for recruits, athletic achievements. I do agree, having a team to play against in Colorado would be nice, I never made a trip to CU. Wish I did.

What in the heck are you guys smoking! That State isn't at all a good Fit for the big 12 WV makes sense, blue collar small town hard working. Colorado is just a bunch of pot head trust fund kids who traded in the surf board for a snow board.
Let's not lose sight of the goal here, 2 QUALITY teams that fit the Big 12.
-
Boulder is what you described, but not so much Ft. Collins. That said, next to no chance they'll even get consideration in the Big XII. It's looking like they will be getting a new football stadium though.
