8 more games till we hit the tourney. I will say right now, the OU and ISU losses hurts our resume only in the L column. Were they bad losses, no, but a L is a L. To be honest, we have 0 bad losses (2x OU @ 83 rpi, ISU @ 35, WVU @ 26, other two top 10) and 5 top 100 rpi wins (yes, texas @ 66, VT @ 92).
Below is my thoughts for the remainder games. Summery if you don't want to read below. We will need Big 12 Tourney wins for NCAA bid.
Vs. TTU - Win, nothing more.
Vs. Tex - Loss, this could be a big momentum swing if we did pull it out.
Vs. KU - Win, see what I did there, drop the Texas and come back strong against KU. Between Texas and KU win, 1 win would be huge.
Vs. Bay - Loss, they are really good at home
Vs. Mizzou - Loss, I would like to say win, but with them in the race for title, they wont drop this one.
Vs. ISU - Win, yay
Vs. T&M - Loss, ending the year like we always do, dropping a game that we should have won.
Vs. OSU - Win, solid send off for the seniors
That puts us at 9 conf wins. 2 tourney wins makes a solid NCAA resume, 1 tourney win keeps us solidly on the bubble.

The only differences I have fromt he above is
Texas Win
KU Loss
Mizzou Win
T&M Win - We didn't have McGrudder at 100% and still won by 11.
I think if we are on the bubble we stand a good chance. It's not going to be like a few years ago, they know the TV LOVES Frank and will give him the shot.

Well, crap. Full weekend of games and nothing went our way. ISU beat A&M which could put us at arms length with them and 4th place. We are tied with Texas 1-1 and its to soon to look at tie breaker. Really, it just comes down to top 6 at this point. Ideally we could finish 4th/5th which would have us playing the other 4th/5th team. Baylor all but has 3rd locked up and I would hate to finish 6th and have to play them as our first game when we WILL need a win or two. Playing ISU imho is our best bet in KC... which could yield Mizzou (who we might have a better match up chance) as our 2nd game.
However, after seeing Mizzou dismantle Baylor, I say we need tonights win for the tourney. Winning against Baylor next week wont have the impact like a KU win tonight would. All I heard on ESPN was how Baylor is losing it, and I don't want to just be another team to knock them off when they are down, committee wont see that as quality.

I hope we are a 1 seed in the NIT.
KU is just demolishing people right now and we are not at that level mentally.
