Sounds like Cosh might indeed be heading over to USF.  Would leave room for Venables!!!... coach in waiting!

This just made my day. Cosh was not the reason for our D this year. Good luck with the JR college transfers and Brown is what helped us.

You mean Leavitt. It would be interesting to trade coaches.

For some reason this has me excited either way. I'm sure the new AD won't screw this up like the last administration did (I hope).

From Rob Cassidy at GPC

communicated with Jim early this morning. He did not say whether or not he had received a phone call from Bill Snyder. In fact, he steered the conversation away from that territory.

His 49ers team is obviously still playing football and Jim is vague by nature.

I'd put him on the short list, though.

I'd also keep an eye on Tom Hays, Joe Bob Clements and possibly Brent Venables.

Of course there are other names that could surface.

Just my two cents.

Looks like Jim Leavitt is being mentioned as a possible OU DC (at least in Oklahoma news). I don't see this happening because Jim could easily take over a program and the reason Venables left is because Bob brought Mike back to be a DC and have the lead. OU job looks like a down grade for Jim from my perspective.
