We will probably trade our best athletes for some A list minors that will never play for the Royals. Oh wait that was last year, and the year before, and the year before, and...

I've also heard the Phillies and Braves being interested in upgrading their outfield.  I'd be willing to part with any ONE of our outfielders (Gordon, Cabrera, Francoeur) for a top-mid tier pitching prospect.

Check out some of the talent they have to offer:

Quote from: ESPN
PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
TOP TIER

   1. Jarred Cosart, RHP: Throws 94-98 mph with an average curve and developing change.
   2. Jonathan Singleton, 1B: Like the Reds' Alonso, he will have to be traded to play in majors, but he can hit with power.

SECOND TIER

   1. Trevor May, RHP: Misses bats with a heavy fastball, but he needs to learn how to pitch.
   2. Brody Colvin, RHP: A good arm, but he needs work with his delivery.

ATLANTA BRAVES
TOP TIER:

   1. Julio Teheran, RHP: A potential top-of-the-rotation starter.
   2. Arodys Vizcaino, RHP: Has dominating stuff, but he's still learning how to pitch.
   3. Randall Delgado, RHP: Throws a 94-96 mph fastball with a plus curve and average slider.

SECOND TIER:

   1. Mike Minor, LHP: A solid mid-rotation pitcher who will overachieve.
   2. Brett Oberholtzer, LHP: The most underrated lefty in the organization.
   3. J.J. Hoover, RHP: A workhorse and eventual 200-inning arm.
