Title: NFL Draft
Post by: cf0102 on April 11, 2011, 09:53:50 AM
It's almost time for the NFL Draft and I haven't seen much talk about it around here. I see in Mel Kiper's Three Round Mock Draft he has DT going #60 overall (2nd Round) to the Patriots.

See Daniel Thomas draft stock (http://www.kstatenation.com/forums/index.php?topic=594.0).

Has anyone heard anything on long snapper, Corey Adams?  Will he be drafted or does he have plan on working out with teams and hope to get signed on as a free agent?

I haven't heard anything about Corey. Long snappers are a tricky situation. A lot of times a longer snapper can be a talented backup TE or someone else with some speed and size. Generally on punts they are the first person to the ball. I had a good friend who was a carrier long snapper for Green Bay, The Patriots and The Eagles (Has 1 Super Bowl Ring from Greenbay and 2 from the Patriots!) But his "Primary" position on depth charts was always 3rd string TE, even though he started as long snapper.
