I hope they get it done against KU!!!
-
Are we allowed to cheer yet even though we don't have ISU locked up yet?
-
Correct me if I am wrong but the best possible result for us is for Mizzou to beat KU, and loose to Nebraska, and for us to wrap up the regular season with a win against Iowa state?
Wouldn't that move Texas back into the big 12 #1 seed as long as they win their last game? since they hold tie breaker?
-
nope I believe we need them to loose to KU. But if we win out and they loose to KU we get 4th, If we both win out they get 4th
-
You sure? Dont we beat them in the tie breaker?
-
As of yesterday there were 64 possible outcomes for 4th place......ahhhhhh :typical:
-
You sure? Don't we beat them in the tie breaker?
That's what I thought, I also though that it doesn't matter who they loose too, as long as they loose one of their next two games and we win out, we are in for 4th. If that's the case I would love to see Doc get a win over Mizz, then KU loose, robbing them of the chance to grab the one seed. Is this scenario highly unlikely, yes, but my spite for KU runs deep enough for me to root the near impossible.
-
Ya, if they beat KU then that puts us back in the tie. I believe they would win the north division tie breaker with 1 extra win.

We can lock up a bye in the Big XII Tournament if Nebraska knocks off Mizzou tonight, right?

We need to beat ISU. Otherwise, if CU wins out, we lose the tiebreaker

Welcome The3ears!!! I did forget about CU. That would sure be a shocker if they win out, but who knows with that team.
-
Here is what I like to see:
We beat ISU.
MU lose to NU tonight but beat KU in Columbia
CU wins the next two.
-
Yes sir.
-
Thanks! :Salute:
CU's next two games are @ISU and hosting NU. So both are very winable for CU.
Welcome The3ears!!!
-
i thought if CU wins out then they jump ahead of us. or is that only if we lose to ISU?
-
Cu is 7-7, so if we win out, CU cant get to 10-6. We win
-
24 Missouri 58
> Nebraska 69
Does this mean we can cheer for Mizzou to beat KU without fear of losing our Bye game? !!!

No. If we lose to ISU, MU beat KU, MU wins tiebreaker.
If we lose to ISU, and CU wins @ISU/beat NU at home, CU wins the tiebreaker.
So we need to take control by beating ISU in BC.
-
Crap where the hell did CU come from! I was happy as a clam thanks 3ears :(
Also I have concerns about ISU coming more prepaired for this game.
-
I hate to assume, as it hasn't meant much throughout this whirlwind of a season, but I think K-State Nation (:D referring to everyone, not just this site) is so proud of the team and excited to be playing like we are that BC will be as crazy as the KU game and Pullen and Kelly will leave on a bang.
-
Oh Forgot it was senior night! Ya BC will be rockin.

I thought I did... Still learn how to use it :Salute:
We cannot overlook ISU. As I recall, we lost our last game at home to ISU last year. Hopefully this team won't let that happen again.
At least ISU shouldn't be preparing for us till tomorrow. They should have their hands full with CU coming to Ames tonight.

SO the best thing would to have ISU beat CU tonight then right?

Actually, I hope CU beat ISU tonight, and CU beat NU at home Saturday. So CU would be the 5th seed (CU wins the tiebreaker over MU even if MU beat KU in Columbia). We are most likely be the 4th seed unless we lose to ISU Saturday or Texas AM lose their last two. This give us the opportunity to beat CU. Besides, I believe it would be harder to play MU than CU in KC.

Completely agree. Plus, I just really want one more shot at the Buffaloes! That loss at home is still tough to get over.
-
Of course, this is based on the assumption we beat ISU on senior night.
If we don't have confidence in beating the Cyclones at home, then a CU loss tonight means that we don't have to warry about CU seeded ahead of us. We would be no lower than a 5 sead.

I think this is what Baylor said about us last year. Didn't turn out too well for them.
-
I guess we need uk to beat A&M?
:fitzed:
-
Seems like games are falling into place for K-State to get 3rd in the Big 12 :D
-
theres no way A&M loses to Tech...
-
Plus, who would you rather play in the tourney? Texas or KU... haha. Both easy matchups, but I would like to start with Texas again. So hopefully we can beat ISU and MU beats KU and Texas takes care of business. Thats my ideal setup.

Crazy things do happen sometimes.
-
I would rather not play ku in the tournament.

I would rather not play ku in the tournament.
Neither would I, as a realist I know that wins against KU only come so often. That raises a good question, when was the last time we had two victories over KU in one season?
-
Not since 1989.
1-28-89 K-State 71-70 Lawrence
3-10-89 K-State 73-65 Kansas City, Mo.
