Title: Final Big 12 Standings Predictions
Post by: KSUftw on February 24, 2011, 08:31:26 AM
Now that our season has been saved (never thought I would say that a few weeks ago), we can start looking forward or striving to get the bye in the tournament.  I think our chances are pretty high to finish 4th.

Final Standings:
UT 12-1 Should win out (15-1)
KU 11-2 Should win out (14-2)
A&M 9-4 Should win 2 more (11-5)
KSU 7-6 Should win 2 more (9-7) Should be 6-4 against North, 1 win against top North Div opponent
MU 8-5 Should win 1 more (9-7) Should be 6-4 against North, 0 wins against top North Div opponent
NU 6-7 Should win 2 more (8-8)
CU 6-7 Should win 1 more (7-9)
BU 6-7 Should win 0 more (6-10)
OSU
OU
Tech
ISU

So that KU win didn't only get us in the tourney, but it also helped us possible win the tiebreaker and get a bye in the Big 12 Tourney.  Woot.

I like your style.  So humor me a realistic projection on what seed we will get if we go 3-0 with 1 win in the Big 12 tourney.

Interesting note from AP about Neb and us.

It was the final regular-season meeting between the teams as members of the Big 12. They've met 219 times in a series that dates to 1906, and they've played every season for 88 years. The Wildcats lead the series 126-93.
