Title: Frank Martin
Post by: Lynch on February 12, 2011, 10:26:43 PM
I am so pissed at him right now. Can't even see straight. Here is my list of grievances.

1. 0 Discipline on the team
2. No leadership,
3. Horrible line ups on the floor ALL THE TIME.
4. No "top tier" team has a FT drought FOR THE WHOLE SEASON!
6. TAKES THE BALL OUT OF THE ALL AMERICAN'S HANDS WHEN THE GAME IS ON THE LINE.

These are all things Coach Martin and crew will need to fix before the team will have success.

people are just getting tired of his "furious" and "angry" coaching style b/c it's obviously not working anymore....Gotta try something new.

Then don't be posting on this board when we start winning again. I WILL be watching.

I believe he is referencing the Pullen quote. And on a level of if the players say they won't "play in the NIT" then why should we watch them.

We gotta stop acting like a bunch of spoiled rich trust fund brats and rally around this team NOW!

At first, I took offense to this threat, but decided instead to make an apology.  I'm sorry you misunderstood my symbolic sarcasm (Thank you Lynch for seeing and explaining the statement)  I will have to learn to control my writing in the future so that I'm politically correct with everyone on this board.  (Which will make for dull conversations)  Please, in the future, though, don't calenge my loyalty to the Cats, I was rooting for them when you were in diapers, probably longer.

So, please accept my apology and we'll continue on thru the season

He is right, I mean, what right do we have!  We made it to one Elite 8....one year of glory doesn't give us the right to criticize every mistake.  We are still growing, so just sit back and lets see where this takes us!

The players were handling the game well, when KU would pull it within 5 or 6, we'd just put more points up and play better. but even when we were handling the game well and playing good, Martin would still chew them out so much. Martin just needs to Chill out sometimes.

I do have to say I was pleased he didn't bench a player after 1 mistake as much tonight though. Spradling screwed up big, got chewed out and was left in the game. Pullen screwed up was benched, but back in immediately. that's what I like to see, let the players play.

yeah but you can't put all the blame on spradling.....our in-bound play is horrible. it's the same one we had last year too. all they do is get in a line then throw the ball to half court and hope our guy gets it. The opposing team is going to figure out how to stop it and that's what they did. They gotta come up with a new in-bound play. am i the only one that gets frustrated by this?

I agree, I like the vertical line in bound play that tons of schools use.
