guessing it's because he'd get to pay right away, but yes, i would probably choose some other place that's a tad bit warmer.

SO if he comes here he sits out a year and would be eligible in 2012. Isn't this when most of our current Red Shirt and Freshman QBs would be batteling for playing time. We might end up with another 2006(07?) season where we start pre-season with 5 backup QBs and end with Josh Freeman and Carson Coffman.

Tate is a no-go, headed to Miami!!
http://espn.go.com/blog/big12/post/_/id/25531/k-state-wont-be-getting-a-new-qb
Michigan transfer Tate Forcier was scheduled to visit Kansas State this week, but he's made his choice of a new school, eliminating Kansas State from the race.
The former ESPNU 150 recruit, who started as a freshman in 2009 before ceding the job to Denard Robinson in 2010, will transfer to Miami.
"Miami had the best opportunity," Forcier, a native of San Diego, told ESPN. "There is so much positive energy around this program and I really want to be a part of it. I love these coaches and feel like they are the right guys for me. I had a great visit and I really want to be a part of the rebirth at Miami."
In 20 career games, Forcier threw for 2,647 yards with 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
Kansas State is scheduled for a quarterback derby in the spring between newcomers Justin Tuggle and Daniel Sams, as well as last year's third-stringer, Sammuel Lamur. Part-time starter and last year's backup, Collin Klein, has reportedly been moved to receiver, where he played in 2009 as a freshman.

Not so fast my friend!
-
I hear he is still considering K-State!
-
if he does come here, im gonna start referring to k-state as "Transfer U" i mean, i know there are a lot of schools that get transfers, but it seems like we get the top athletes to transfer here. maybe im wrong though
-
Not just in 1 sport, but also in Basketball. Transfer U is good, but I counter with "2nd Chance U"

so Forcier wants to be closer to home. The list of school she most recently put he had interest in were: Auburn, USC, San Diego State, Montana, K-State, and University of San Diego.
USC is already ruled out, they dont want him.
Russel Wilson is visiting Auburn, where i'm assuming he'll decide to go, so let's rule them out.
I can see why he would go to San Diego State b/c that's his hometown, same with University of San Diego. But if He plays down to a FCS school then i dont think we'll ever hear about him again, that's how it usually works, but the advantage there, he'd get to play right away. Same if he went to Montana.
I believe it's going to come down to K-State or San Diego State. I say it's 55 to 45 ration leaning in favor of San Diego State, just because that's where he's from. Although he is highly interested in K-State.

This guy may be too much of a risk for Snyder to take. Trying to jump out a window!

I guess the good news here is that he was going OUT the window, and not trying to break into it.
-
I don't think He will end up here either. To much drama, and although he has potential to be a good quarterback, I don't think it will ever happen. Plus where would they put him on the depth chart? We already have 3 guys now, and the next two seasons should be no different. This kid is not Snyder material.
