I notice that we're not in the Top 25 for the Class of 2011. Why? Does it feel to anyone else like the bloom is starting to come off of the rose?

Noticed. I have also looked a few years out and we are not listed on many of the top recruits. Ellis is one, but I think he just has us on the list to be nice to all Kansas schools and is a solid ku lock.

Would we all like a better recruiting class? Yes. But I wouldn't discount the kids that are coming in this year. Thomas Gipson (PF) (http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/78455), Adrian Diaz (C) (http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/119713), and Angel Rodriguez (PG) (http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/100506) are top 150 talent who will address glaring needs of this team. We desperately need another point guard, already lost Asprilla, and Kelly graduates. I really like the potential of Gipson and Angel to fill these spots, but worry that Diaz will be another JHR and pray he develops into a better post guy.
We're not a household name. Kids aren't jumping at the opportunity to play for Martin yet, but hopefully that will come with time. The only real problem I have is that Dalonte is not earning his paycheck as of late. He better start getting some more premier talent interested in us.

For 2012, we currently have one 'ship available (and I think it will go to a big). I agree Ellis is a longshot. My guess is if we can't get Willie Cauley (http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/101509/willie-cauley) interested we make a hard push for Anthony J.P. Cortesia (http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/125804/anthony-jp-cortesia) who is in the top 100 and a possible diamond in the rough.

And lets not forget, 4* Nino Williams is redshirting and was originally slated to join the 2011 class before becoming a late signee this year (after Sutton left).
