I read this elsewhere:
Per Austin Meek tweet-
Athletic director John Currie has received a new contract at K-State through 2016. Base pay of $350,000 unchanged, but more incentives
New deal includes a $250,000 retention bonus if Currie is here in 2014. He gets another $150,000 bonus for completing the final two years Great news!!!

With that kind of salary and bonuses, he'd better produce wouldn't ya say. I'd give my left testicle to make that kind of money.

Haha well put Dub.
It'd be interesting to know what the performance incentives are. I know most AD's say they try to make all sports better at a university, but that isn't possible without the revenue producing sports doing well. Hopefully we'll see a new life to the way K-State is marketed. Being in Oklahoma you hardly see (besides all the Wildcat fans) any K-State Marketing. K-State would do well to market in Northern Oklahoma and Southern Nebraska, those people share a lot of the same values and work ethics as the western Kansas kids that go to K-State.
