Title: Big 12 Opener
Post by: KSUftw on January 05, 2011, 02:32:58 PM
Stat Line:  KSU - 2-7 in Big 12 Openers.

Last 2 wins.. Against and over ranked Tech team that we destroyed @ home in 02-03 and of course the last second Beasley win against unranked OU at their place in 07-08.

1-6 Big 12 Away Openers - OU being most recent again.

  :o Well, it doesn't add to the confidence, but history has to mean something doesn't it...maybe..

I think the re-emergence of Pullen's shot and the loss of James Anderson makes me feel fairly confident about the game Saturday.  Pickens Land is a hard place to play in but hopefully we go in and handle business. :Salute:

It used to be hard to play in Iba, but when we went a couple years ago it was a very tame environment.

I don't remember it.  Could be cause it was very tame or cause I was rather sick. :sosad:

Or because you threw water on the woman infront of us.

Well.. When I went to Neb I honestly couldn't believe how nice they were.  It over shadowed how dumb they might be.  But when I got mad and spilled water on an OSU lady, she was just to dumb and believed me when I said it was an accident  :P.  So OSU was nice also, but the dumb over shadowed the nice.  Very complicated place.

Yea, KSU fans are pretty good at throwing things at OSU fans at basketball games.  Learned that one firsthand  :-\

Man...... :palm:

I strategically placed a post a few up there to get OP42 to get his act together and post SOMETHING!  It worked, but failed at its true intent.  I figured follow-up posts regarding, "keys to the game", "unexpected OSU starter", "my OSU thoughts"..... but only got one post.

OP42.. don't use the engagement (gratz again though) as an excuse for leaving the Nation hanging   :ksuftw:  Get on it!

Nah, OP42 talks work smack.  Trying to keep all convos on the board this go around.  Though his training is cutting into game smack.  Its getting lonely.

OP42 does talk a lot of smack doesn't he?

While OSU has a young team this year one of the biggest things the K-stater's have to worry about is being over confident.

Great first post!  Welcome!!

I agree totally.  I think before the Sav St. game we were very level headed and ready to approach each game ready to battle.  But for some reason, their talk and swagger seems to be back, which can either be very very good, or very very bad.  I will let you flip the coin.

I just remember my last experience in IBA so I'm not going to predict a win, but for K-State to lose it's going to need to play like it did against Florida State  :palm:

It was tails,  honest to god  :Drink:

In all reality your team can put up more points than we can and out rebound our smaller team.

The real underlining question here.  If you flipped the coin 1 million times.. would tails or heads win?

I forgot to add that as a Cowboy we have infinite, only slightly wavering, faith in our team.

As a Wildcat we have highly wavering faith in our team as long as our players are hitting up the clothing stores...overall this looks like a great match-up with pullen back and starting out our Big 12 season with a shotgun start away from our cheering fans. I say yeah we have bigger guys +1 but its in there home -1. I can honestly see OSU coming out with a victory here just because KSU knows how to lose  :cutyou: and that 4 million dollar locker room is awesome.  O0

So when are you going to officially renounce KSU and become solely an Okie Light fan?

Hey Hey lets not jump to conclusions now ;) I grew up in manhattan and will always be ksu fan 4 life! I will agree that I am a "Okie Light" fan because they have a fun program to watch and they have a lot more games down in these parts. I am paying both colleges money so in some light that has to make me a fan of both as well  :ksuftw: Go Cats and Go Pokes!  :Drink:

I enjoy watching San Diego play (Sproles), but grew up a Chiefs fan.  By no means do I get any pleasure watching San Diego beat Cheifs or make the loss less sucky.  I can be supporters of both, but only a FAN of one!  U decide.

That didn't answer the question. Would you be happy for the State University of Oklahoma to if they ended up winning the game?
