Title: A Look at 2011- Offense
Post by: Lynch on January 05, 2011, 12:26:00 PM
Okay let's discuss what we have coming back from this years team. As I am not a recruiting expert I will lean on you all to provide who will fill the gaps from the recruiting trail.

QB- We will probably know half way through game 1.

LT-Manase Foketi (6-5, 300, Jr.-TR)
LG-Keenan Taylor (6-4, 280, Fr.-RS)
C-?
RG-Colten Freeze (6-4, 294, Jr.-2L)
RT-Clyde Aufner (6-5, 300, Jr.-2L) OR Zach Hanson (6-8, 305, Jr.-1L)

WR- Chris Harper (6-1, 232, So.-RS)
WR- Cole Bachamp (5-9, 179, Jr.-1L)
WR- Brodrick Smith
WR Tramaine Thompson
RB- Bryce Brown or John Hubert (5-7, 185, Fr.-RS)
FB- Braden Wilson

Since we have 244 days till the next game I'll save Defense till later.

Let the discussion begin!

Don't forget offensive lineman Ethan Douglas.  He started against UCLA but went down with a season ending knee injury in the first quarter.  He was a sophomore but should be able to get a medical redshirt.

I heard Tomasi Mariner was going to challenge for a starting O-line position.  Not sure if I spelled his name right.

I'm seeing Tuttle at QB.  Unless Klein learns how to throw somehow through the spring and summer.  Sims will probably be RS next year.  Cosh will probably transfer to wherever his Dad ends up

Either way, I really like the depth at RB.  Gonna make the transition from Daniel Thomas very easy.  I expect one of these guys to help out a lot on special teams as well.

Welcome to the site kcpurplecat!

So he will be 2nd string? I am seeing Brown starting unless he turns out like to be like Lamark or somthing.

I see Brown starting and splitting alot of minutes with  Robinson, kind of like we were trying to do with Poweel. But the minutes will be more evenly split. They both are tremendous backs, and according to Thomas we will be in extremely good hands with both.

I like the idea of a power back and a speed back. It worked well for the Chiefs this year; However I do get irritated when they use the power back for speed back plays, your power back is not going to make it to the edge. period.

from a inside source, Cosh is most likely coming back as Snyder sticks behind his coaches... The quote that was heard was "This Defense with the talent we have coming back and the new talent, will be much improved of the 2010-2011 squad." So from this it sounds as if Snyds will give him one more year to get things right, even though there is a remote possibility that Cosh gets let go! Also it was stated that Sams will most likely be starting next season, I want you all to understand something my info does come from someone connected to the coaches and the team, but obviously not all info is right... these are just two things I was advised of over these last few days, and I thought you all would like to hear them, and voice your thoughts and opinions

I believe the Cosh news but not the Sams news.  Sams will redshirt, and I am taking bets.

Sorry if I misled you Lynch.  I was just spouting off.  As much as I disliked our defense, I don't totally blame Cosh for everything.  I'd like to think that this is Prince's fault.  I don't know how long I can use it.

I'll defer to Dobbie's analysis.  He seems to be involved and I appreciate his imput.

Ya. Its a pipe dream for me. I do think Cosh has 1 more year to prove himself with "his players".

What are the odds. 1:31 Million? <-- Thats the odds of being killed by terrorists in a plane, also the same odds you will get cancer from the machines they are using to scan you at the airport. weird.

If Klein isn't going to play QB and he is not the 2nd stringer even next year, will he move back to the WR position?
