MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State head coach Frank Martin announced Sunday that sophomore forward Wally Judge is out indefinitely due to personal issues.
"Wally is going through some personal issues at the moment," said Martin. "It is important that these issues are resolved before he returns to the basketball court. He continues to be a valuable member of our basketball program and we are all fully supportive of him during this time."
Judge has seen action in seven games this season, including six starts, while averaging 4.3 points and 2.4 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game.

I'm seeing the same old quote on all the news and forums. :typical: Does anyone have any idea what these "personal issues" are. I'm in a "need to know" mode and can't sleep at night. I hope he can resolve whatever this problem is. :'(

I would really hate to lose Wally. I don't think we have come close to seeing his "game". I hope his personal problems are something simple like grades. I was on campus with my senior in high school for senior day about a month ago and Wally walked by with his book bag. So, I think he is going to class.

Think about it this way. The guy is a McD All American, came from the same place as two of the most iconic players in recent history (who left after 1-2 years to make Millions). He isn't performing to his OWN standards.
I believe this "issue" is just mental and he will be just fine.

Judge progressing
Sophomore forward Wally Judge, who has played a total of seven minutes in the last three games -- all against Alcorn State -- appears to be on his way back.
Martin said in a Sunday press release that Judge was out indefinitely while dealing with personal issues, but sounded optimistic following Wednesday's practice.
"He's fine. He's going to travel with us, just as he did to Loyola," Martin said. "He and I will probably sit down and visit sometime (Thursday) and see if he's prepared to put on a uniform and go play.
"But he's in good spirits."
Asked if Judge could play Saturday against Florida, Martin said, "He might. It's on him. It's when he's ready to go."
