Since the Miami thread kind of turned into this, I've decided to start a new topic.
Top choices for NEW DC.
Jim Leavitt
Brent (Duh)
-
Odds that we can land either??? Brent, very, very doubtful. I have to agree with others that the Miami job would look awful appealing to Leavitt. :typical:
Maybe we can get used to Cosh. Any possiblity of that happening? :fitzed:
-
I don't think I can "get used to" 500+ yards of opposing team offense.
-
The Brent idea is definately a NO. Let's just say he did a big no-no when he was here....

If you htruely know what it is pm me the details and I will give you what you've requested on the Main site tonight!

has snyder ever really "fired" any coaches? i thought he was all about commitment and loyalty.
-
No he hasn't. This is what got people upset after the 2004 season and furious during 2005 is that he wouldn't fire the horrible coaches then.
-
Rumors are flowing about a change coming our way. Anyone been catching wind of any of this :riight:

Need more of your details around the rumors.

Bill Snyder hasn't met with reporters since the regular season ended, but he sounded more upbeat about K-State's defense in an interview conducted for K-State's website.
"People think we never played well, but the defense held Oklahoma State to 17 points, and we held Texas to 14 points," Snyder said. "Those were two pretty good efforts."
Sounds like someone is trying to soften the blow of the pink slip.

That’s HORRIBLE NEWS. He isn't softening Cosh up, he is softening us up. This is Snyder we are talking about here.. his drive comes from building stuff up, not down. Stuff includes but not limited to: student athletes(juco's mainly), program tradition, equestrian, boy and girls club (can't rem if that’s the right one or not), and coaches............. duh......(do i need to list them all..) why would he bail on Cosh?!?!?!? Because he wont. He has someone who is use to his coaching style (aka demands more from his assistants then any other coach in the nation).
-
that's the one thing about Snyder he wont fire an assistant coach. Too much loyalty.

Phil Bennett may be looking for a new gig now that Dave Wannstedt is out as Pitt football coach (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5896191). That would be an instant upgrade to Defensive Coordinator. (http://benzobsession.com/phpbb/images/smilies/thFingers_Crossed_emoticon.gif)

I would shit my pants if this happens
