Title: Jamar Samuels?
Post by: DUB on November 27, 2010, 06:34:29 AM
What's the status of Jamar?  He was nowhere to be seen.  Was he injured in the Duke game or practice?  Is he in Franks doghouse (again)?  Eat too much Turkey?  Forget to come back after the Holiday?

We could have used him last night.   ::)

I am going with ate too much turkey and in Franks doghouse...the article I read today just stated that Frank "didn't want to talk about his status."  Which essentially means that he is pissed at him.....c'mon Frank.

I'm hoping this is just rest.  I think the summer tournament in Europe took a toll on his body.

Doesn't sound like just "rest". Frank is giving the same response to media when Kelly was in his dog house.

When does this begin to get old?

When does this begin to get old?

When our starting 5 start scoring more points then our bench.

We don't even know who our True Starting 5 are yet because of this stuff!

I agree this is getting old, but why play a player if they're not doing their job? Just because they proved it last year? That doesn't mean anything, we wouldn't be having this conversation if it was a freshman that was in the doghouse, these guys are returners and should be leaders, not being in the doghouse.  Its November, better send send a message to the WHOLE team that no matter who you are nothing is given to you, now then in February or March. Also a very good point to High School kids and thier parents who think they should play just because they are a senior, but that is a different subject.  Frank knows what he is doing, were not the ones watching and evaluating practice everyday, he knows what he wants.

And just as I say that I look at stats and saw he played, and by stats it appears he played well too. Hopefully the message is through to the team.

He had some sweet spin moves. Tonight got me very excited for our young players.

Agreed.  We saw some new things from JamSam that really got me excited.  Lets hope he continues to get the opportunity to show them off.

Forgot to mention the fade-away jumper he took. Usually dives into shots. Additionally he isn't trying to drible one time before he puts the ball to the basket. This made me furious last year.
